| BASIC STRINGING | Start designing and beading! The Basic Stringing Class includes an introduction to and hands-on experience with different types of beads, findings, stringing materials and tools. Learn the elements of jewelry design, the types of stringing materials, the different tools used in jewelry making, and how to string beads and attach a clasp. You’ll be on your way to creating your own fabulous jewelry. This is a great class for beginners.

| | INTRODUCTION TO WIRE WORKING | The Wire Working Class is an introduction to working with metal wire in beaded jewelry. You will learn about the different types of wire, practice simple wire work wrap loop and briolette wrap, and gain familiarity with tools that are essential for making many earring, necklace and bracelet designs. Manipulate silver wire to create 2 pair of earrings using semi-precious or Swarovski crystal beads.

| | KNOTTING WITH SILK | Knotting with silk has a number of advantages: the knots protect delicate beads from rubbing against each other,silk provides a much softer look and feel - especially important with smaller expensive strands, the knots can be used as a design element, and the color of the silk can complement the beads. In our Knotting with Silk Class you will learn how to use silk cord to enhance your jewelry designs. In this class you will have the option of making a 'tin cup' style necklace with large fresh water pearls and Swarovski bicones, or a multi-colored pearl bracelet, selecting also for our wide assortment of silk colors. Finish off your piece with a sterling silver clasp. Basic stringing/crimping knowledge required.

| | MULTI-STRAND | For more advanced beaders only; must be familiar with stringing and crimping. Learn how to design and make multi-strand necklaces and bracelets. This class will show different design approaches to multi-strand, how to measure and finish using cones and multi-strand clasps. You will select from black onyx or fresh water pearls, complemented by Swarovski crystals or daisy spacers, to make your own special triple strand bracelet with a cone and lobster claw clasp.

| | PEYOTE BRACELET | Peyote is a type of off-loom bead weaving that has become extremely popular. In this class you will use Miyuki cubes to create a cuff bracelet that looks beautiful alone, or can form the base for various other bracelet designs. In addition, you will make your own clasp, also using the peyote stitch and a button. No experience required - just an interest in bead weaving.

| | SWAROVSKI HEART | Made with 6mm Swarovski crystals and clear monofilament, this pendant is hollow inside so it's very light. You will learn the right angle weave, but don't let that scare you; it's simple when you get the hang of it, and you'll get lots of compliments every time you wear the heart. | | BEAD WEAVING I | Once you learn the beginning elements to bead weaving, there is no end to what you can make. In this class you will learn three stitches: peyote (flat even count and 2 drop), square stitch and spiral stitch, using Japanese round, cube and delica beads. In addition, you'll receive background information on how to select the right beads and materials to create a piece that lasts.

| | BEAD WEAVING II | After learning three basic stitches in Part I, this class will introduce you to the variety of ways in which the stitches can be used to create unqiue bracelets, necklaces and earrings. For example, peyote has unlimited possibilities using flat even count, flat odd count, round, twisted or tubular.
